When all you want is a big fat steak, it’s more than just the meat that’s important. It’s the price, the sides, the sauces, and the ratio of serious-looking investment bankers to people actually trying to have fun. From a high-end Peruvian restaurant with a view of the city to a corner stall serving excellent "bitoque", here are our favorite Lisbon spots to eat steak.
After trying all the steakhouses in town, here are my recommendations. When it comes to fine premium aged cuts, I will head to Sala de Corte or KOB. The winner in the more casual and affordable category is hands down Atalho Real - a meat restaurant with a garden in Principe Real. La Paparrucha is an Argentinan steakhouse with outdoor seats and a gorgeous view of the city. Some of other good steakhouses with quality meats are: Butchers, Taberna do Lopes First Floor, and Volver de Carne y Alma.
