Chic, intimate, exclusive, fun... plus a chef's menu.

Where is it?

First things first: Omakase Ri isn’t exactly easy to find. 🕵

It is hidden the in the BASEMENT of a low-key commercial center in Lapa (a chic neighborhood in Lisbon, no surprise).

The moment you walk in, it feels like a super-secret foodie club. The vibe? Minimalist, cozy, intimate, and very exclusive.

With only a handful of seats - all counter seats - you get an up-close view of the chefs as they showcase their skills. It's perfect to go with a date, or fly solo! You will be entertained throughout the dinner, the staffs are friendly and love to share insights on each dish while the sake shots are flowing all night. 🍶🤪

The Menu

The menu, well, there is no menu. It is an omakase place, which means, the chef is in charge. You just need to sit back, relax, and prepare for some of the best sushi of your life.

The Lineup: An All-Star Cast of Sushi Celebs

The menu is quite big and I will mention a few memorable bites.

Otoro Nigiri kicked things off, featuring that buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tuna underbelly that sushi fans go wild for. One bite, and I thought, “I’ve peaked.” But then came the Uni Nigiri—essentially ocean goodness in a bite. It was like being kissed by Poseidon himself, but way tastier.

And then? Oh, just the A5 Wagyu Nigiri. Picture beef so tender it basically gives you a hug from the inside. Lightly seared with a sprinkle of salt - so simple yet gives your tongue that premium mouth-feel.

To close, there was Tamago (Japanese omelet) that looked as innocent as cake but was sweet, fluffy perfection. And just when I thought I couldn’t eat another bite, out came Yuzu Sorbet—citrusy, bright, and the kind of palate cleanser you didn’t realize you needed.

Final Verdict: Worth Every Bite

Omakase Ri isn’t just a dinner; it’s a sushi pilgrimage. If you’re in Lisbon and want to experience pure Japanese tradition with a side of suspense (what’s next?) in a chic, intimate exclusive environment, this place will blow your mind. I 100% recommend. Plus, their menu is updated frequently, so be sure to go back to be blown away again.

Fun fact!

The restaurant is named after its chef-owner, Ri-Ri!

His passion for Asian cuisine and his team make the whole experience feel even more special. Lisbon thanks you, Ri-Ri, for creating yet another amazing eatery that make Asian food lover's tummy so happy!
